It was a glorious day, yet not a thing moved, for here, in this place, nothing lived, save the overgrown plant-life that littered the amazing lands. Everywhere, as far as the eye could see, flora grew, stretching into the air like towers. Though there was no naked eye to view the glory, there never was, and perhaps in all the years of this lands existence, there never will be…
Ancient is probably the best way to describe the age of the prosperous country, and the sorrow it would bring to those who lived there that day would be great. Yet as all now know, nobody did live there, and so as the huge meteor crashed from the heavens, destroying all in its devastating path, no one would cry for the loss of the place.
A once striking land of luster; now a desert wasteland. No longer did the plants cultivate like wildfire, no… The place was dead, all of it. Call it will of the one who rules, or call it supernatural. But something within the meteor, perhaps a chemical that it emitted made the flora rise again. Tall forests developed and the river began to flow once more. Of course, this didn’t all happen overnight, it took years for the place to restore its glory. But when it was done, the beauty was twice more ravishing. For the vegetation was no longer growing wild, it was organized, like there was a celestial hand doing the gardening. Even paths developed through the sweet grass.
These lands were to great for the human’s, they did not deserve it, it was made for a better race. A line that carried the ability to perhaps live in peace for longer than the people did. And so it stayed hidden for a prolonged period, waiting for the ones that were destined to find the treasure of the world.
And so they came, a group of five, three graceful mares, and two great stallions. A traveling group they were, but once their wise voids were set on the lands, they knew that they had finally found home.
Whilst exploring the lands they came upon a fairy circle of sorts, though much bigger, and with huge oaks instead of rocks. Perhaps this was the center of the land… Though the odd thing that confused all of them was the fact that in the very middle of the circle was a wide oval shaped patch of dirt where no plants grew… They didn’t know of the meteor, and that, that place, was where it had landed.
It is was it is… A beautiful disaster.
